A red phosphor, K2SiF6:Mn4+, was prepared by the hydrothermal method. The as-obtained K2SiF6 confirmed as cubic phase. In K2SiF6:Mn4+ strongest excitation peak lies in 350 nm and emission 632 which is due to 2Eg→4A2g transition. optimum luminescence conditions were obtained changing Mn4+ doping concentration. Employing with blue chip commercial yellow phosphor fabricates a white-light LED. asobtained LED has low color temperature (3740 K), high rendering index (86.4) lumen efficiency of 166.02 lm/W, indicating that can be used warm
